Carnival Cruise Line is the largest cruise company in the world. They have been operating since 1966 and are currently owned by Carnival Corporation & plc. The company operates over 400 ships, making it one of the biggest companies in the world.

The carnival ship dry dock schedule 2021 is the latest news on the Carnival Cruise Line’s dry docks.

Even though it is just September, Carnival Cruise Line is already working on improvements and maintenance for its cruise ships. So far this year, five ships have gotten the new livery, as well as some improvements. There are four more ships in dry dock or awaiting their turn at the moment.

When the ships all start sailing again, the business is dedicated to making sure they all look their best. That doesn’t seem to be a tough job, especially with the new blue, red, and white livery, which pays homage to the company’s history.

Do you want to know whether the ship you reserved for this year or the next year has been repaired? Continue reading to learn about the Carnival Cruise ships that have previously finished dry docks this year, as well as those that are now undergoing dry docking.

Which Carnival ships have had their dry docks completed?

The technical staff of Carnival Cruise Line has had a busy year. Not only did the business debut a new ship, Mardi Gras, but it is also in the last phases of converting Carnival Victory into Carnival Radiance, with five ships already having finished dry docks this year.

This year, the Carnival Magic, Carnival Glory, Carnival Dream, Carnival Legend, and Carnival Valor have all undergone dry docking, with a variety of modifications and enhancements done to each ship.

In May, the Carnival Magic was the first ship to finish a dry dock in Marseille, France. She received regular maintenance and aesthetic improvements in addition to the new red, white, and blue hull design and paint scheme. She was, however, one of the first ships to replace the conference room with a non-smoking casino and bar.

During their dry-dock stays in Marseille, France, Carnival Glory and Carnival Valor had just minor repairs. Aside from the usual aesthetic improvements that come with every dry dock, the ships also received renovations in the hotel sections.

Of course, both cruise ships received the stunning new livery that will be seen on every Carnival Cruise ship in the future. Carnival Valor finished its refurbishment on July 28 and will resume service from New Orleans on November 1. Carnival Glory is currently sailing from New Orleans and will be finished in July 2021 after a modest renovation.

Carnival Dream will get the new non-smoking Casino and bar, which was originally fitted to Carnival Magic, in June 2021. In Marseille, routine hotel maintenance and aesthetic improvements, as well as the red, white, and blue hull design, were completed and added to the vessel.

Carnival Legend is the last ship to have finished dry dock; in addition to hull repair and regular upgrades, the ship received additional work while in Marseille. The Arcade was renamed The Warehouse and moved to Deck 3. On Deck 3, it took the place of the chapel and library. The Arcade’s former location has been transformed into The Cove, a children’s hideaway.

If that wasn’t enough, the new non-smoking Casino was added to both the Carnival Vista and Carnival Breeze during a wet-dock.

Which Carnival Cruise Ships Are Currently In Dry Dock?

At the moment, four Carnival Cruise ships are docked in Cadiz, Spain. The ships are either in dry dock or in the process of being launched. Carnival Liberty, Carnival Paradise, Carnival Sunshine, and, of course, Carnival Radiance are the ships in question.

Carnival Liberty is set to depart from her dry dock in Cadiz, Spain, on September 28. Carnival Paradise will sail on October 1 and Carnival Sunshine will sail on October 21, both from Cadiz, Spain. Cosmetic improvements and, of course, the new livery will be given to all three ships, or have already been given to the Carnival Liberty.

Carnival Radiance will set sail from Cadiz on October 18 for a seven-week voyage to her new homeport in Long Beach, California. Overall, it’s a hectic period for Carnival’s engineering staff, but it’ll all be worth it in the end, with the new liveries and the ships looking brand new again.
