Royal Caribbean Group’s latest cruise ship, the Adventure of The Seas, swept away with nine awards at this year’s Travvy Awards in NYC. Royal Caribbean is winning over customers and industry experts alike by blending luxury design with groundbreaking technology that is changing cruising for good.
The “travvy award winners 2020” is a competition that recognizes the best travel brands and products. Royal Caribbean Group has won big at this year’s awards.
On Thursday, the Royal Caribbean Group contributed to its long record of medals and accolades with yet another strong performance at the seventh annual Travvy Awards.
The cruise line, which includes Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises, was named a 2021 Travvy winner in a variety of categories, including for its unmatched at-sea entertainment and prompt travel advisor help during the COVID-19 epidemic.

Royal Caribbean International, the company’s eponymous subsidiary and possibly most well-known brand, earned gold for finest cruise entertainment, while Celebrity Cruises, another Royal Caribbean Group cruise line, took bronze for onboard excitement.
RCI also won gold for best cruise line for travel advisor help during the epidemic, as previously mentioned, while Celebrity took silver in this year’s new category. Best contemporary cruise line (RCI); best cruise line for expedition/adventure (Celebrity); best premium cruise line (Celebrity); best cruise line in Europe (Celebrity); best cruise line in the Caribbean (RCI; Silversea Cruises earned silver); best cruise line in Asia (RCI; Silversea Cruises earned silver); best cruise line in Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific (Celebrity; RCI earned silver); best cruise line in Australia (Celebrity; RCI earned silver). Silversea also received a silver Travvy for best cruise line with less than 500 cabins.
Royal Caribbean’s ships also won a number of prestigious honors in 2021. RCI’s Navigator of the Seas won gold in the category of best modern cruise ship, while Celebrity Flora won gold in the category of best expedition/adventure ship, and Silversea’s Silver Explorer took bronze. RCI’s Symphony of the Seas also took first place in both the best overall cruise ship and the best big cruise ship (over 1,000 staterooms) categories, with Celebrity Edge taking second place in both. In addition to winning gold for best premium cruise ship in 2021, the aforementioned Celebrity Edge also won gold for best premium cruise ship in 2022.
While Royal Caribbean Group faces far more challenges than it did after its stellar performance at the 2020 Travvy Awards nearly 21 months ago, the cruise line appears well-positioned to maintain its dominance in the industry, with executives recently expressing optimism for the year ahead, revealing plans for net zero emissions in the decades to come, adding flexibility for passengers when they need it most, and announcing plans to expand one of the most popular cruise lines in the world.
