Royal Caribbean International has received approval to build a new cruise terminal in Italy. The company will construct a new cruise ship terminal at the Port of Civitavecchia, which is located near Rome and the historical sites of Pompeii and Ostia Antica.

The royal caribbean ravenna port is a cruise terminal that will be built in Italy. Royal Caribbean has received approval to build the facility, which will allow for more ships to dock at the port.

In Ravenna, Italy, Royal Caribbean will be allowed to build a new cruise port.

The Ravenna Port Authority granted RCL Cruises Ltd., a Royal Caribbean Group subsidiary, the tender for the building of a new cruise terminal and the concession of its cruise operations at Porto Corsini.

In the summer of 2020, the procedure started. RCL Cruises Ltd. proposed a public-private partnership proposal for developing Ravenna’s port, which involves revitalizing the Porto Corsini shoreline. The natural landscape of the coastal town is integrated into a new terminal.

The port will be a world-class facility that can be integrated into itineraries as well as act as a homeport for ships after the transformation and building of the new terminal is completed.

The port will be able to service more than 300,000 visitors per year once it is fully operational.

The port provides easy access to Italy’s Bologna, Forli, Rimini, and Venice.

Residents and tourists will enjoy integrated landscaping, public green spaces, walking and bicycle paths, and entertainment areas at the new cruise port. Water and energy efficiency, renewable energy generation, recycling and trash management, and sustainable material sourcing are all part of the plans.

“The fact that an international cruise operator of such global significance as Royal Caribbean Group has chosen to invest in our port is a significant signal for the whole Ravenna region,” said Daniele Rossi, head of the Ravenna Port Authority, during a news conference.

“We are thrilled to be working with the Ravenna Port Authority on this innovative project that will revitalize Ravenna and usher in a new age of sailing in the area.” Royal Caribbean has put together a world-class team dedicated to providing a high-quality experience via sustainable development while embracing the region’s outstanding natural beauty and friendly hospitality. “Visitors may explore the rich historic and cultural riches, art and antiques, the excitement of motor racing, pristine environment and beaches, international nightlife, and Italian culinary tradition,” said Joshua Carroll, vice president of Royal Caribbean Group’s Destination Development. “We would like to express our gratitude to the Port Authority, the City of Ravenna, the Emilia Romagna region, and the whole port and city community for their warm welcome and support of our project.” We’re particularly excited to work with our Italian investors at VSL Club, who will join us on this journey.”

The royal caribbean venice shuttle bus is a new terminal that will be built in Venice, Italy. Royal Caribbean has received approval to build the terminal which will provide easier access for cruise passengers.
