In 2023-24, Royal Caribbean International will embark on its first-ever world cruise, and it’s a big one.

Serenade of the Seas will sail roundtrip from Miami on Dec. 10, 2023, and through Sept. 10, 2024, on a 274-night “Ultimate World Cruise” that will visit all seven continents and more than 150 stops in 65 countries. The total cost of the cruise ranges from $66,000 to $112,000.

According to Royal Caribbean, this is the world’s longest cruise. The majority of World Cruises last three months, although Oceania Cruises has had success with six-month trips.

What’s Hot Right Now

Bookings for Royal Caribbean’s complete “Ultimate World Cruise” began on October 20, with a special one-week window for Crown & Anchor Society Diamond level members and above running through October 26.

“This is the global cruise of world cruises,” Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley remarked. “People are more determined than ever to explore the globe and make up for lost time. Royal Caribbean is making it a reality with the ultimate holiday, which invites people seeking adventure and discovery to join us across the globe to eat, dance, and dream. We tell tourists who are unsure where they should go next, “Everywhere.”

The trip will visit 57 locations that are both new to the cruise line and unique to the ship. Casablanca, Morocco; Qaqortoq, Greenland; and Shimizu, Japan, the entrance to Mount Fuji, are among the highlights. Other places to see are Peru’s Machu Picchu and India’s Taj Mahal. The trip will go around Cape Horn and into Antarctic seas, including stops at Iguazu Falls and Machu Picchu near Buenos Aires, Argentina. This chapter comes to a close in Los Angeles.

From February 11 to May 9, 2024, the “Wonders of Asia and the Pacific Expedition” will travel to 40 locations, including Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia and the Great Barrier Reef, Bali, China, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Japan.

The “Middle East Treasures and Marvels of the Med Expedition” will go to 44 locations across three continents from May 9 to July 10, 2024. Dubai, Jordan’s Petra, Egypt’s Pyramids of Giza, Turkey’s Temple of Artemis, and Rome’s Colosseum are among the highlights. Olympia in Greece, Croatia, and Cannes in France are among the others.

The last phase, “Capitals of Culture,” runs from July 10 to September 10, 2024. On the way back to Miami, the schedule includes stops in Barcelona, Paris, Morocco, St. Petersburg, Norway, Iceland, and New York.

Before setting sail, the complete world cruise price includes business-class flights, premium transportation, an evening of festivities, and lodging at a five-star hotel.

In addition to a premium beverage package, VOOM Wi-Fi, laundry service, and more, Crown & Anchor Society Platinum level members and above will get a complimentary “Seven New World Wonders” shore excursion package.

In August 2003, the 2,143-passenger Serenade of the Seas began operation.
