Singapore Airlines has announced that it will be opening up its first class award space on their Airbus A380 flights to the public. That means anyone who is willing to book a trip from Singapore or Hong Kong can fly in style and luxury, all for an affordable price.
Singapore Airlines has just released this year’s round of new first class award space. Bookings for the Airbus A380 First Class Awards can now be made with some very wide open seats on flights to Europe, Asia and the Middle East. However, you’ll need to act fast as time is not always your friend in these awards!
The “singapore suites routes 2021” is an award that Singapore Airlines offers to their First Class passengers. It can be used on any route, but it is only available for booking during the month of October.
Airbus A380 First Class Awards on Singapore Airlines are now open.

Singapore Airlines only offers long-haul business and first-class reward seating to its own customers, not to airline partners like United and Air Canada. The good news is that Singapore’s KrisFlyer miles are simple to come by, since Singapore is a partner of every major bank that accepts transferrable currencies (Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One).
Even yet, getting two first-class seats on an Airbus A380 might be difficult. Looking farther out on the calendar, there are various destinations where Airbus A380 first class awards for two people are now available. Even on one of the most difficult itineraries in history, New York JFK – Frankfurt – Singapore, this is true.
Here’s a vacancy for two people in first class from New York JFK to Frankfurt in September 2022, using Singapore miles:
And here’s a spot for two travelers in first class from Frankfurt to Singapore in September 2022, using Singapore miles.
The availability on these routes also stretches far into October (mid-October is as far out as you can book at this point). With no fuel surcharges, Singapore charges 86,000 miles each trip between New York and Frankfurt. For simply Frankfurt – Singapore, they charge 125,000 miles each trip, with no fuel costs. The good news is that flying from New York JFK to Frankfurt and then to Singapore is just 132,000 miles each trip (rather than being additive).
It’s incredible that Singapore is bringing back its Airbus A380s and even continuing to convert the interiors to the new first class, which has a separate seat and bed as well as the possibility to remove the partition between seats for a genuine double bed experience. This is one of the top three first-class offerings in the world (Emirates new first, ANA first… sorry, Air France ranks fourth).
However, not all A380s have been changed, and although it’s impossible to say which aircraft will be on which routes a year from now based on current schedules, the New York JFK – Frankfurt – Singapore itinerary may feature the original first class suites, which are still fantastic.
Check out the availability of Hong Kong – Singapore in September 2022 for a short, less costly route where you’re quite likely to view the new first class. This flight costs 40,500 miles each way from Singapore.
Between Singapore and Seoul, Auckland, and Delhi, there is also plenty of availability.
By the way, transferring 250,000 miles or more to Singapore Airlines currently earns Star Alliance Gold status, which entitles you to not only first-class Airbus A380 award seats, but also elite status that grants you access to United Airlines club lounges even when flying domestically in the United States.
